Although the registration process is quite simple, some certified bodies desire
to make it harder than it should or needs to be. We see it to be as simple as
a basic seven (7) steps. They are:
STEP ONE:
You will receive a welcome packet that includes a welcome letter,
process flowchart with expected results and terms and conditions.
STEP TWO:
We will conduct a document review. If you are in need of Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
or automotive standard TS 16949, we will also conduct an on-site readiness review.
Ordinarily, this process takes a maximum of two weeks.
STEP THREE:
We will perform a pre-assessment and conformance audit; these typically take 1 to 12 days.
Audits such as these usually consist of talking to employees, observing activities and
reviewing documents. The person(s) providing this audit will personally be selected by
AQA International based upon their knowledge and professional experience in your industry.
STEP FOUR:
Depending on the findings of your pre-assessment and conformance audit,
you will have time to take corrective action to get your service,
processes or operation up to the necessary standards for completion
of registration. As you can imagine, it is hard to say exactly how
long this will take.
(Suffice it to say, you will have as much time as you need.)
Regardless, we will work closely and collaboratively with you
throughout this process and will perform a thorough follow-up
conformance when you are ready.
STEP FIVE:
You receive your registration and framed certificate.
STEP SIX:
Once you are registered, you will have to re-register every three (3) years.
AQA International will help you stay ready by providing surveillance
audits on a six-month, nine-month or annual basis - you will choose
whichever timeline works best for you. We will be happy to discuss
the pros and cons of each audit schedule upon request.
STEP SEVEN:
You then re-register with AQA International's help; it will be easy.
